Relay for Life Cancer Walk - Community

My friend and I holding the spirit stick to represent our school <3
Since I'm an athlete, specifically a track runner I was very much interested in the Coral Springs relay for life cancer walk. I didn't do this service because I wanted more hours of community service, I did it because as a student government member I serve the community. I even stayed at the campus overnight to raise as much money as possible for the cancer victims. I very much care about those people who's lives have been affected by this chronic illness; as do a lot of people. Yes, I have had a family member who's life was taken away from cancer, and I did this for her. It turned out to be  a very fun and exhilarating event with lots of supporting people. At the end of the event, it turned out my middle school team was the  second team to raise the most money! I was so happy, not because we won, but because we raised 15,000 dollars to help! I also earned 15 hours of community work in that night alone.  I and many other people will fight for those battling cancer, they should just know that they are not alone. Never stop living your life to the fullest and be thankful for what you are and what you have because someday it can all just go askew.

My Accomplishment - first residential president

Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be something great , to do something great and that dream has been my drive during the past years. When I first got to boarding school, I was scared: scared from being away from home, scared from being away from my parents, making new friends, being accepted. I didn't really know how it was all going to turn out. At home, I have always been involved in student government; since the 4th grade. Its something I love to do, its something that makes me reason with the person I want to become.Ever since that I have understood the meaning of responsibility. So my first year at boarding school I ran for president, people asked why and I said why not? Its something I love to do, I love public speaking. To my surprise I won, and it turns out the residential program were very happy. Apparently I am the first residential in meritas and my school's history to run and win presidency. I was happy; very happy and proud. This ties into my brand and logo because I believe in myself, I believe in leadership, I believe in the person I want to become. I will always strive for success

An Opportunity given

Nelson Mandela once said Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. There is a sign engraved with Mandela's wise words in the subsaharan parts of Nigeria. He had the perspective that with education comes power because knowledge is key to success. When I was about twelve years old, my parents sent my brother and I off to boarding school. Not for any reason that we had recalcitrant behavior or that we were naughty. They did it from the conspicuous reason of love. They want the best for us and doesn't every parent. Nigeria isn't a bad place to start off your life, some parts of the country actually provide excellent educational services and schools but parents want the best of the best so they send their children to the best place where they will succeed exponentially. Now we are doing much better than we ever thought we would. I am still a class president, I am president of other clubs, I have gained more knowledge than I would have back home. Parents should  give their child every opportunity they can offer, one of the most important one includes education; because a world without education is a world dead.

LOGO explanation

The logo symbolizes a rainbow of cultures around me. It expands on my knowledge of culture; I can be a very diversified person at times seeing that I have traveled the world and seen a lot at such a young age. I know who I am but i don't know what I am. I represent the lollipop in the center and I diffuse all my ideas and talents in a colorful way. The drop of water is meant to symbolize myself. Some might say I have a bubbly personality which also ties into the design. The drop of water exhibits me creating a “ripple effect”. People tell me wherever I am around, I stand out, I affect them, I create an effect (big or small).
